1) Almost Famous & Jack Daniels Banquet, Almost Famous, Wednesday 16th
It’s £32.45 per person (including the online ticket site fee) which isn’t bad considering you get 3 courses and 3 cocktails, all of which is off a menu that’s been specially created for the evening to compliment the abundance of JD. Plus the food at Almost Famous is insane so I’m sure it’d be great value just for the food, never mind the cocktails as well!
You can buy tickets here!
2) Zanele Muholi: Vukani/Rise, Open Eye Gallery, Thursday 17th
This is an exhibition at the Open Eye Gallery showcasing the work of Zanele Muholi, a South African photographer and visual artist. Her work explores gender, race and sexuality, particularly in relation to South African society and political landscape. I’m really looking forward to going because I think it will be an inspiring and informative body of work. There is a preview night on Thursday 17th between 6pm and 8pm, then the exhibition will be running from Friday 18th until November 29th.
3) Eat Pizza & Drink Cocktails, Dough Bar, Now!
Dough Bar has just opened and looks to be ahhhmaahhhhhzinnnnnngggg. Okay that is definitely an exaggeration seeing as I’ve never been BUT it does look bloody good. And what’s not to love about pizza & cocktails?! I will be sure to check it out myself in the near future, but if anyone does pop in for something delicious then please let me know what it’s like! You can find it under the Grand Central Halls, but here’s the postcode just in case – L3 5GA.
4) Hope Festival, Looooots of venues, Friday 18th – Sunday 20th
Hope Fest is a charity based festival where instead of paying for your ticket with money, you donate 5 essential items (listed on the website) to the cause in exchange for your weekend pass. It’s brilliant value for an even better cause. Bands and solo artists are playing across 15 venues in the city so have a look at the lineup to see who you might wanna catch! I’m playing at Sound Food & Drink on Saturday 19th at 3.30 for anybody interested 🙂
Hope to see you there!
5) With Love From Liverpool, Echo Arena, Saturday 19th
With Love From Liverpool is a fundraising concert for refugees currently fleeing from war. The likes of The Farm, OMD and Space are performing, with John Bishop and Janice Long hosting the event. Tickets are £25 and all profits will go to the British Red Cross. A brilliant event where Liverpool is showing, once again, that it is a caring city with a huge heart. Yay 🙂
If any of these events catch your eye or you end up going to them, please leave a comment and let me know!
And if there’s anything going on next week, 21st – 27th, that you would like featuring then please get in touch 🙂
Hope you’re having a lovely Monday guys!
